AAE19: Myriad Possibilities in Montréal

Once a year, the endodontic community gathers for the world largest meeting devoted to endodontic education and camaraderie. This year the AAE Annual Meeting will be held in the Montréal, home of the international headquarters of Cirque du Soleil, the 1976 Summer Olympics, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. Montréal is a great location for the spirited debates, world-renowned speakers, networking, exhibitors that the Annual Meeting consistently offers. The AAE annual meeting continues to be the most comprehensive endodontic education summit, vendor exhibition and networking opportunity in the world.
The goal of the meeting is to offer attendees the best clinical endodontic education available and make sure the attendees experience Montreal. The educational content is organized into six tracks that focus on the latest research, trends and techniques that impact the future of endodontics. And, of course, it’s all presented by some of the most sought-after speakers in our field. In addition to larger lecture-style presentations, there are also opportunities for attendees to engage in more intimate, hands-on workshops. We know from past meetings that our attendees prefer a variety of settings and formats in which they can learn, so we have incorporated these into AAE19 in Montréal.
We’re kicking off this year’s annual meeting with a keynote address from futurist and CEO of Tomorrow, Mike Walsh. His forward-thinking energy is sure to inspire our members and set the tone for an engaging week of education and networking.
Our track organizers have done an outstanding job curating content for attendees. Tracks this year focus on essentials for practice management, interdisciplinary topics, microsurgery, non-surgical approaches, and the oral systemic connection – plus submitted presentations that cover a broad range of interesting topics. Two unique sessions, one on microsurgery and the other on intentional replantation, will review in presentation format step-by-step execution of these procedures. These will be followed by an interactive mannequin demonstration with complete clinical set. We also have a highly interactive session on risk management is new to the practice management track. Our non-surgical root canal treatment track will have a session with a discussion of the pros and cons, in a debate-style format, to help us better define and predict the endodontic treatment outcomes.
Our interdisciplinary track will have specialists from many areas outside of endodontics, and presentations which cover a wide range of topics, including understanding CBCT, classification of orofacial pain disorders, root resorption, and the management of both acute and persistent pain. Another session will cover an interdisciplinary approach to dental trauma.
